Hello, my name is Adam Hanlon. I am in long term recovery from alcohol. I recently got married to the love of my life who is my biggest support, and we have a dog named Keeva. Earlier in my life I went to school to be an Art teacher. After receiving that degree, I became a freelance artist and tattoo artist. As time went on I found a permanent career as an electrician. In my free time I am active in AA and serve with my church family. If I’m not helping someone else with their recovery then you’ll find me in my garage working on an old motorcycle.

The passion for my work comes from my own experiences as someone in addiction and knowing that there is a solution to that destructive lifestyle. I am a product of peer recovery coaching and a 12 step program. I want to show other people that the design for living I have achieved is possible, no matter your current circumstances. The people I work with continuously enlighten me to the complexity of addiction and their success stories are something I hold close to my heart.

I am originally from NYC, born and raised in Queens. My family was loud, creative, and passionate, I came from strong educational roots with a focus in the arts. I transplanted to Rochester, NY in 2001 and am proud to call it my home.
Living a balanced, present life has been my forever goal. Experiences, planned and unplanned changes, friends, family, and peers have all been part of my journey -what I have learned from these moments in the present or after months/years continues to shape the person I have been and who I am becoming.
Art, Nature, Music, People, Food, Exploring- are what grounds and connects me to self and our big world. My most authentic "me" has been discovered when I am hiking, going day adventuring, attended live music (all the music, all the time, ha), and spending time with my son, my partner (his dog) and friends. Coming from a diverse background with appreciation and gratitude for the small wins.
I have my BA in Theater with a double minor in Women's Studies and English and my AS in Substance Abuse Counseling. I am currently working on fulling my CASAC certification through NY State that inform my life coaching strategy.
Passionate about the work you do and the people you work with:
Being able to experience the individual growth beside a person is what motivates me. Having that individual gain the knowledge that they can gain alter the course of their path through perspective, choice, and planning is priceless.
Hope for the people I work with:
My hope for the people I work with is for them to obtain a balance of life. Growth is endless.
" If you get tired, learn to rest, not quit." - Bansky
I began my career in teaching Preschool and Kindergarten, as well as ran an after school program/summer camp for 16 years before deciding on a shift in my mid 30’s. After years of working with children and families, I decided to go back to school and gain a second degree in Substance Abuse counseling. I have always had a strong desire to help others being an advocate is in the core of me. I have been working in the addiction field now for 4 years and have experience in the inpatient and outpatient setting, as well as, in my personal life.
The idea of being able to show up in a different way for people outside of a formal setting. Using ones own experiences, knowledge, with open perspective and non judgement, offering empathy, compassion, and genuine connection to support another's personal growth, their " bettering."
Ideal client:
An ideal client is anyone who has the strength to ask for guidance, assistance, and or help. I believe if we find the right support we can have our goals met, the path might be different than originally planned and knowing you can still get there , is priceless.
Strategies can be varied and tailored to each individual accordingly. My belief that every person has skills, talents and worth are tools that I will bring to my coaching style. I am patient and dedicated with dash's of flexibility and adaptability , understanding that we all have a eternal timeline that is unique to us and is necessary to understand as we are reaching for ones goals.
Choosing a Life Coach:
Building a customized care focus through shared lived experiences is at the heart of coaching.
Wrap around Services:
I am available for tele health services ( phone, zoom, face time), in office sessions at our locations and in agreed upon community spaces.
Hello! My name is Krista! I am a Christian woman who loves Jesus and following the purpose He has granted me. I am blessed to be a wife, sister, daughter, granddaughter, friend, healthcare professional, volunteer, life coach, and so much more. I am a people-loving, adventure-seeking, animal lover. I love being by the water on a beach in the middle of nature and have a passion for traveling and helping others. Life has given me so many blessings as well as several curve balls. But how could I appreciate the blessings if it weren’t for the curve balls? Through my struggles there has been hurt but there has also been growth and learning to appreciate the beautiful things life has to offer. Thank you for your interest in pursuing personal growth and change, I believe it takes courage to acknowledge the possibility for positive change and commend you on that and hope to encourage you through the journey of self-discovery and self-improvement!
.My hope:
My ideal clients- individuals, families, or couples are people that are ready and willing to go on a journey of self-discovery, motivation, and self-improvement. People who are willing to explore their life and situations, to learn and grow from them, and to become the best versions of themselves.
People would always ask- “what do you want to do when you grow up” and my answer was always help others. As a child, it varied at times from being a teacher or being a nurse, or several other roles but the heart of what I always wanted to do stayed true- just to help others. So, I went to college and got a Bachelor’s and Master’s Degree in the healthcare field. Working within the healthcare field was not what I thought it would be, so I continued to expand my professional horizons and struggled with burnout which ultimately led me to seek life coaching myself! Yes, I was a client! I actually went through life coaching myself and discovered the benefits of having a third-party, unbiased, non-judgmental, friendly, insightful person to lend a listening ear and offer guidance, encouragement, and support, which; then led me to wanting to offer the same to others in return. Life coaching offers the opportunity to help others in such a raw and authentic way, I am honored to be a life coach and encourage others as I was encouraged for personal growth and development!
I am a down-to-earth and supportive coach but also believe in full disclosure and honesty. That means sometimes having to take ownership of our own mistakes, but more importantly learning from those mishaps while finding the silver linings of life we are given. I believe we are all imperfect people and all make mistakes, so I provide a non-judgmental environment that can meet you where you’re at in the rollercoaster of life. Through motivational interviewing, goal-setting, and a safe environment, I hope you are able to have a time for yourself to unload, decipher through, and learn from, to stretch your comfort zone, and become a better you. God gave us each a voice and a purpose and I hope to walk with you in support as you discover what those are and how to fulfill them. I hope to encourage you through the struggle and to celebrate the victories alongside of you!
Hello! I am Kalien! I am a Christian and my full time job above all things is to serve the Lord. After that I work my recovery. I am celebrating recovery over alcohol, substances, and sexual addictions. I continue to work toward spiritual progress, not spiritual perfection. I am a wife and a mother of 2 little ones. I spend my time taking care of my family, giving back in recovery, being a disciple and disciplining others. I currently live in Georgia, so my sessions will be virtual . I was born and raised in Rochester, so I have many connections, so if physical services are needed I will be able to accommodate. I travel back to Rochester a few times a year. When I am in town I will be available for in person sessions or any wrap around services that are needed from me where I need to be present.
My goal is to help bring awareness, understanding, growth and freedom. My main focus or strategy is to discover a foundation to build upon. Sometimes there is no foundation or the foundation is broken, as mine was when I began my journey. There are multiple pathways to recovery and wellness, and I am willing to explore options with my client to find what will work best. I believe in order to reach our full potential that sometimes we need to bring others that are apart of our lives into our sessions, so if the coachee needs to bring other individuals into sessions I am willing to work with others along with them.
God is really what brought be into coaching. Through my recovery I have been shown that I have a natural desire and purpose to help others. What I have experienced in my life is not for me to hold on to. I believe that what I have experienced and what I have been given is not about me, it is about the next person. My desire is to bring hope, joy and freedom through everything I have been through, all I have learned and all I continue to learn.
I am an extrovert and I love people. From a very young age I loved helping and caring for others. My desire is to bring others to a place of freedom and self acceptance.
Life coaching offers a unique experience because we bring our life experiences into our career. This is what has drawn me to coaching. I love that I am able to be authentic and vulnerable, while being able to meet my client where they are at. I am no better than the person I am working with. We have all been in a place where we need help getting to where we desire to be.
I’m Coach Tina!!
I have been in the addiction field for 23 years. I am passionate about the work I do and the individuals I serve.
My Favorite place to be is the beach which is where I find my own inner peace and serenity. I am a strong believer in self care. I have always been inspired by the courage and Strength that my clients displayed even when they didn't realize it themselves.I find it very empowering to assist my clients in developing new coping skills and build on their own individual strengths. I believe it's important to meet my client's where they are at with compassion and empathy. One hope I have for my client's is that together we can restore passion for a better life and become the best version of themself.
I have been in the field as an Addiction therapist since 2001. I have experience in outpatient inpatient detox, residential treatment, working with adolescence, women, children and families.. I didn’t know much about coaching until the last few years and I really liked the concept.. I believe it creates a whole new level of trust and builds the foundation for better communication
My approach as a Recovery Coach is person centered, and always trauma informed. Everyone’s story is different and unique in its own way.. Most importantly, everyone has a voice and wants to be heard
I’m a 39 year old father of a teenage son. I started using alcohol and substances in the late 90’s. I struggled with life (relationships, family, jobs, education, legal) and tried to
quit using for many years. In and out of detoxes, inpatients and outpatients for nearly two decades until I found recovery in July of 2015. Since then my life has changed dramatically in ways that are often indescribable. Recovery has given me everything and now it’s about giving back.
** My professional experience as both a Certified Peer Recovery Advocate (CRPA), Associates in Criminal Justice, and CARC inform my life coaching strategy.
What makes you passionate about the work you do and the people you work with?
That I was given the opportunity to be put in a position to be useful to others in a way that I never was before I got sober.
What’s one hope you have for people you work with?
I hope that they’re able to see that recovery is possible for themselves.
When I was 9 months sober I left a county position with a pension in order to work in addiction treatment. I wanted something more rewarding and something that felt more natural and it led me to this field. I left behind what I knew and the security to take a leap of faith.
Who is your ideal client to work with?
I enjoy working with all sorts of people with different backgrounds but ideally it’s people with children or with professional backgrounds.
I believe that relatability and trust are huge to connect quickly. Using humor, sharing personal stories (if appropriate for the moment) and talking to people directly helps establish a connection and lightens things up as well. Every person is different though too and I have to be able to switch things up on the fly in order to provide what they need to succeed.
Why would you choose to work with a life coach over other professionals in the area?
I would choose a coach based on the lived experiences and wisdom they’ve gathered from being on both sides.
What wrap around services do you provide between sessions?
I literally do most anything if it’ll benefit the person I’m working with.
Hi everyone, I am Antonio!
I've worked in the addiction field for the last 5 years ie detox inpatient and outpatient. I decided to get involved with life coaching because life coaching allows me to help clients get sober on a personal level and utilizing tools that i may not have working in a clinic.
Why am I passionate about the work I do as a coach?
Im passionate about this work because I know firsthand that it works and I have to give it back if I want to keep it. I am the clients that I work with .
Hope for people I work with?
For the people I work with I would hope that life will not be the same as before . But much much BETTER!!!!!
I am recovered and believe that peers helping peers is the most valuable experience when it comes to getting healing from substance use and mental health. This is why I pursued work in helping fields.
Who is your ideal client to work with?
I love working with all different types of clients. From folks seeking recovery from mental health or substance use to their families and spouses. I also coach people who have endured loss.
Strategies I use during coaching sessions are - listening , setting goals , establishing trust and rapport, encouragement, and providing
support.
Why choose a life coach over others?
I would choose to work with a life coach over other professionals because I have found that getting help from someone who has gone through possibly the same or similar things that I
have and have gotten better shows evidence based solutions. Such as, compassion that someone may not receive in other professional outlets.
Wrap around services?
Some wrap around services I offer include connecting with offsite fellowships at ROCovery Fitness, AA NA HA meetings, church, and any other wrap around service that the client is comfortable with.
I am a single woman in recovery for 12 years. It’s a story that has brough much pain and joy. I am a mother of 3 young adult children who are doing amazing things on their own right now in the world. I currently am experiencing the empty nest syndrome and find myself wanting to take advantage of the new found time I have in my life. Whew! Raising 3 kids, getting into recovery, and restarting a whole new career, alone, brought me to my knees and propelled me into being a person of strength and confidence.
** My years of experience as a Licensed Creative Arts Therapist (LCAT) and Certified Alcohol and substance abuse Counselor (CASAC) inform my life coaching strategy
What makes you passionate about the work you do and the people you work with?
I have lived about every aspect of the experience of addiction. I witnessed and experienced the effects of a father’s alcoholism as a child within the upper ranks of the Air Force and still live with those effects to this day. However, I know the value of getting help and guidance from someone outside of the sick system. My lived experience helps me to empathize with individuals and all parts of the family system.
I am passionate about building hope within a client who may be feeling/believing things are hopeless. I love supporting personal growth and am inspired by the change a human being can create, especially with support and guidance.
In coaching, my life experience is an asset and sometimes the most powerful means of creating connection & trust with a client.
What’s one hope you have for people you work with?
Freedom.
After practicing as a clinician in the grist mill of a large hospital entity, I found myself frustrated and infuriated on an almost daily basis because the treatment machine tied my hands in terms of being frank, objective, and soulfully available. So, yes, I have blurred the lines of therapy and coaching because coaching gets to the core and propels someone towards self-mastery, which is something no one can take away from a person.
Who is your ideal client to work with?
I like working with professional women who are curious about finding help, but are afraid to reach out in the community for help. I enjoy working with couples and families regrouping from the effects of addiction. I also like working with people/women working through transitional periods is life or trying to overcome self-limiting beliefs and habits. Someone who needs to dig out of shit is my kind of person to work with.
I am loosely anchored in approaching a person through the lens of Internal Family Systems, where we discover the many parts of ourself that are developed to protect us, but get in the way now. I like to hook a person on the heart level, to remind them of their self-worth and inner courage. I also believe in motivational interviewing techniques to help a person begin to answer their own questions and lower defense mechanisms. Although more difficult on tele-health sessions, I incorporate art and writing to keep the client mindful of their goals between sessions.
Why would you choose to work with a life coach over other professionals in the area?
Authenticity in coaching allows people to connect and make progress quickly. There is less of a shield between the client and the coach. Without being able to trust and feel loved/supported, it is very hard for a person to move towards the very thing they might be most scared of. Being able to share life experience, when appropriate, encourages vulnerability, which helps the client to open up. I also think that typical treatment in the area tends to be “cookie cutter”, where one-to-one coaching is tailored to the client’s needs.
What wrap around services do you provide between sessions ?
Since I will be offering tele-health sessions only from NC, I will offer wrap-around coaching calls and texts based on an agreement for paid services.
Hi there, my name is Theresa, I am a down-to-earth, ambitious individual who strives to ownership of my life, while re-assessing priorities and wellness balance in the chaos of life. I enjoy paving the way for others to seek their calling, direction, and purpose. I am a busy boy mom who loves exploring the outdoors, taking local trips and hikes, as well as a foodie and fitness lover. I have had my fair share of struggles managing through the trials and tribulations I have experienced in life, which ultimately have shaped me and help to inform how I can empower others.
** My professional experience as a Licensed Master Social Worker (LMSW), working with various populations over the past 12 years, primarily with individuals who experience co-occurring disorders in mental health and substance use disorders informs my life coaching strategy.
What makes you passionate about the work you do and the people you work with?
I find great enjoyment when I hear about individuals that I work with using and implementing strategies in their lives on their self-growth journey. I am genuinely invested and want nothing but the best for others and believe we are all worthy of love and belonging, most importantly, self-love.
I bring my unique perspective through my personal lived experience, the community work with individuals, as well as the leadership roles I have had the opportunity to hold, all which have shaped me on both a personal and professional level. I gravitated towards coaching as it allows me the flexibility to work with individuals on a more personal level as we work to progress towards greater life fulfillment and accomplishing goals.
Who is your ideal client to work with?
My ideal client, is someone who is ready and wants to create sustainable life change – someone who has a glimmer of hope and is ready to take one step at a time towards discovering what living a balanced life looks like for them. Someone who is open-minded and willing to do the work as I guide and provide feedback and resources.
The coaching approach I take is determined by the client’s preference and goals as well as the nature of our work together. Any approach will incorporate a strengths-based, client centered focus that seeks to enhance a person’s levels of motivation for personal growth and change. I use a combination of modalities, including motivational interviewing techniques in discovering motives, values, and ultimately the outcomes that one may be seeking. I also use cognitive and dialectal behavioral skills in exploring challenges and offering skills based recommendations. I ask questions that may be thought provoking and challenge your perspective by opening your mind to other possibilities. I am straight forward and will give you honest feedback to help you grow, while offering a safe and supportive environment to explore your needs and wellness goals.
Why would you choose to work with a life coach over other professionals in the area?
Coaching provides an opportunity to help guide others through developing skill sets to reach a clarified goal within a specific timeframe, promoting positive changes. I believe coaching is a holistic approach to wellness and can be tailored to the individual.
What’s one hope you have for people you work with?
My hope for the individuals that I work with is for them to gain confidence and clarity in who they are and what they stand for. To bring more enjoyment and fulfillment to their daily lives through their hard work. To question old ways of thinking and prioritize self and the individual value that you have in their world.
I am looking to help individuals in the community grow and reach their goals. I have worked in the mental health and addiction field for the last 4 years. I decided to get into coaching to help individuals in a more connected way. Coaching allows for a more empathetic and genuine relationship that is conducive to growth. This is a service I wish I had as I bounced around from therapist to therapist for most of my childhood and young adult life. Never seeming to make a true connection with a professional. That was the problem for me. I could not see this professional as anything other than a suit and tie. I needed someone that I knew understood me and wanted nothing other than to help me grow.
My passion:
I am very passionate about the work I do as a coach. Every day is an opportunity to help someone grow. Being able to help people see their own potential and then guiding them to reach it. I have been on both sides of these relationships so I take great pride in providing a service that I wish I had.
My hope:
My hope for all of my clients is to find clarity in their life and that it brings them happiness. Most importantly I want them to understand that this happiness is sustainable. As hard as that may be to see. All of us coaches are living examples that you can do it and we are hear to help you along the ride.
I am willing to work with anyone who is ready to put in the effort to grow and be the best version of themselves.
I pride myself on building a good rapport with every client. Using each individual's strengths as building blocks on their journey into their new life. Establishing a level of trust and offering new ways of communication as well.
The genuineness between a coach and a client due to shared lived experiences is why I would choose a coach over other services.
As a coach I am willing to provide assistance in whatever a clients needs are. Whether that be getting connected with different meetings, finding community work, building a resume or just all around self care.
